8’08” - O'io 2.0 6/7wt and 7/8wt

An example of the new 8’08” O’io 2.0 6/7wt. All custom rods are one of a kind.

The 808 O'io 2.0 (bonefish) was designed and tested thoroughly on the worlds largest bonefish in Hawai'i. The objective was to create a rod that had amazing castability in constant high winds while still capable of extreme accuracy and close range delicacy. This was achieved by using high modulus Toray Carbon with a very fast taper design. The O'io 2.0 retains everything our customers loved in the original O'io while providing even greater casting accuracy, smoothness, and lighter weight, but still maintaining durability. Unsanded raw carbon finish. See below for examples of guides and reel seat options.

8’08” - Paopao 9/10wt

An example of an 8’08” 9wt Pao’pao. All custom rods are a one of a kind.

The 8’08” Paopao (Golden trevally) was born out of obsession for flats foraging goldies. Designed to deliver accurate long range casts in high winds to distant tailers before they draw too near and spook. The rod also has an extreme amount of power in the butt section for lifting the full belly of the fly line out of the water allowing anglers to recast without having to strip the fly line all the way in. This attribute also allows for turning fish and lifting fish out of coral with the drag locked down. Built on hand rolled high modulus Toray Carbon with a very fast taper design. Unsanded raw carbon finish. See below for examples of guides and reel seat options.

The Customization Process

  1. First choose one of our rod models (unlike many custom rod builders, all of our rods are our own designs).
